From time to time, we have older puppies and adult dogs available and looking for forever pet homes.  These are either dogs that are retired, or maybe a dog that does not fit into our breeding program at this time.  As hard as it is to place our beloved dogs, we feel that it is in their best interest to be placed in a loving, forever home where they can have a family all to themselves that will love and spoil them rotten.  We have had great success with our placed adults and receive updates regularly from their families.

Our dogs are socialized and get along well with other dogs.  Because they are by nature hunters, I would not suggest an adult dog for a home with small animals such as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs etc.

We do not have children ourselves, so we cannot say how our dogs will do around them.  Because of this, we prefer not to place our dogs in homes with small children.
Most of our dogs are not leash-trained, so a secure fenced-in yard is a MUST.

Our adults will be current on vaccines and heartworm preventative.  They will be spayed/neutered unless being purchased as a breeding prospect.
As far as house-training, most of our dogs know how to use a doggy door to go outside, so transitioning to a new home should be fairly easy with patience and consistency.  As our dogs do not live in the house with us full-time,  all will need additional house-training  until they adjust to their new surroundings.  Please be willing to allow your new companion the time needed to adjust to its new home.  This may take 30 days or longer.  Do not expect the dog to be adjusted in one week's time.

Remember, a well-cared for dachshund can live to be 15-18 yrs old, so a 5-7 yr old dog still has many years of love to give you.

Please fill out our Adult Application Form if you are interested in one of our adults.  We do not ship our adult dogs, as we prefer to keep them local in case they do not work out and need to be returned to us.

I may have other adults not pictured here, so feel free to send in the application form and let me know what you are looking for.
